How Our Installation Process Works

A clear walkthrough of the steps we follow, from the first site assessment to the final handover. You will know what to expect at each stage, how long things take, and where you have room to make changes.

How a Solar Water Heater Review Gets Verified

Every review on SolarSiphon passes through a documented pipeline: submission, technician cross-check, climate tagging, and publication. Here is the timeline we follow and the constraints that shape it.

Day 1-3: Submission and Initial Screening

Your review lands in our queue with a basic check for completeness: system type, tank capacity, city, and installation year. Incomplete entries are returned with a short note listing what is missing. No edits are made to your wording at this stage.

Day 4-7: Technician Cross-Check

A field technician reviews the technical claims: collector model, backup element wattage, and reported output. If a claim looks inconsistent with the system specs, we flag it and ask for a clarification rather than silently correcting it.

Day 8-10: Climate and Season Tagging

We attach the relevant climate zone and season so the review is read in context. A winter reading from Jaipur is not compared directly with a summer reading from Kochi. This tagging is automatic but reviewed manually before publication.

Day 11-14: Publication and Community Response

Once published, the review is open for comments and follow-up questions. The original author is notified when someone asks for more detail. We do not remove critical reviews unless they violate our factual guidelines.

Day 30: Maintenance Follow-Up

Thirty days after publication, we send a short follow-up to the reviewer asking about any maintenance issues or performance changes. These updates are appended to the original review with a clear date stamp.

Quarterly: Comparative Summary

Every quarter, we compile anonymized summaries from reviews in the same city and system category. These summaries appear on the relevant review pages and help new readers see patterns without reading every single entry.

How a Review Moves from Rooftop to Report

Every submission on SolarSiphon follows the same path: a real installation, a documented experience, and a published review that others can use. The process is deliberately simple, but each step has clear expectations so you know what happens after you share your story.

Step 01

Submit Your Experience

Tell us about your solar water heating system, the collector type, tank capacity, and how long you have used it. Include details about your city and typical weather conditions, since these affect performance.

Step 02

Verification and Clarification

Our team checks the basic facts of your submission. If something is unclear, we reach out by email to confirm installation dates, model numbers, or specific issues you mentioned. This usually takes two to three working days.

Step 03

Technician Cross-Check

For reviews that include performance claims or maintenance problems, we consult a registered technician. They assess whether the reported behaviour matches typical system behaviour for that collector type and region.

Step 04

Rating and Context Tagging

We assign star ratings based on your overall satisfaction, then tag the review with relevant context: climate zone, water hardness, installation type, and whether it was a new setup or an upgrade from an electric geyser.

Step 05

Publication and Community Response

Once approved, your review goes live on the relevant page. Other users can read it, compare it with similar installations, and add their own observations. You will receive a confirmation email with a direct link to your published review.

Step 06

Ongoing Updates

If your system develops issues or you replace a component, you can return and update your review. This keeps the feedback accurate over time and helps future buyers understand long-term reliability, not just first-month impressions.

Before submitting, check our solutions overview to see which system types are covered, or contact us if you have questions about the review process.
